The Day After

On a very personal level...

Christmas hits with a BANG! here, an explosion that results in bits of wrapping, ribbon & packaging embedded into the carpet, walls & furniture. Someone gave Cool, Man a bottle of silly string and Cam-shaft got a nerf dart gun that was bigger than him and equipped with rapid-fire. So, logically, where there's a space between the paper-shreds, there's darts and silly string.

As much as I eagerly look forward to "normal life" which includes Blogging and Reading, Something Must Be Done. And the Someone who does Somethings is, well, Me.  I'm not boasting... I'm just Mom.

On the other hand... if I don't list my new books now, I'll forget what I have, which would be... insufferable. I suppose this ought to be called   In My Mailbox, as hosted by The Story Siren

Or even  Musing Mondays as posted by Should be Reading... who asks the very intelligent question I am already planning on answering, which is...
Did you get any books for Christmas? If so, what were they?

Ah... the sugar in the delicious cookie which I have eaten too many of...  I actually found some great deals on Nook & Kindle and without knowing how or where exactly I happened upon them, I gave myself some seriously great books for Christmas:

Tortured (Birthmarked, #1.5) ... on Kindle (computer) which I am going to read between Prized & Birthmarked, two books which I have every intention of reading!  :-)

Entwined Entwined is for my library. I read it, returned it to the public library and purchased my own copy, 'cause it's a Keeper.

Bumped (Bumped, #1) Bumped for my Dystopian pile of can't-wait-to-read-it 's. Yay!

Hereafter (Hereafter, #1) She's dead and she's trying to rescue someone from drowning. Intriguing.

Unearthly (Unearthly #1)  The sequel is already getting great reviews... don't want this to get too far ahead of me before I check it out, and I bet it was a great deal.

In fact, I think I got most of these for a few dollars thanks to someone sharing the sale. It might still be going on, too, if you don't have these in your TBR pile, yet.

Look what I found in my in-box this morning!!  :-D  Hop over to Ilona Andrews' site to scoop up this fun-looking Gift!!

Speaking of, I now understand the mountainous TBR piles. All those bold comments I made about reading everything in my library... I just wanted to humbly clarify that I was a Newbie and ignorantly unaware of all the great books and ways of acquiring them and spoke before I knew what I was saying. *Ahem*  I am well on my way to creating my very own TBR Christmas Tree of a pile by next year.
