The Eternal Sea (Everlasting, #2)

This week The Eternal Sea arrived - literally in my Mailbox - and I can't remember where or how I won it.  Has that ever happened to you?  It's like the most delightful surprise!!  I know I looked at this book - I remember wanting it....... but..... uh.... where was I?  Has that ever happened to you?!?!

I kinda went crazy on NetGalley:

The Naked Foods Cookbook: Easy, Unprocessed, Gluten-Free, Full-Fat Recipes for Losing Weight and Feeling Great
Um... I thought I'd test out this cookbook because I can't use prepackaged mixes or boxed dinners on our Gung-Ho Diet. Discovering a secret love for fresh tomatoes in the blender inspired me to see what other "naked" food I don't know about, yet. I think it'll take a while to review properly, but I'm having fun already (and I am not a gardener, believe me.)

I requested three picture books for very specific reasons, and it will be DELIGHTFUL to review them:
Only the Mountains Do Not Move: A Maasai Story of Culture and Conservation  Peru in Images (Peru en Imagenes) Getting Started in Pinewood Derby: Step-by-Step Workbook to Building Your First Car

I jumped on the YA bandwagon because "everyone else is doing it" is sometimes a good reason!!

Lies Beneath  Starters (Starters, #1)  Goddess Interrupted (Goddess Test, #2)

And my library requests arrived, which are PRIORITY for the Theme Park Book Club.

(I'm deep into How to Live Safely in a Science Fictional Universe and I keep snorting late at night in bed. It's totally quiet...  the only kid still awake has a flashlight under the covers... and I SNORT!  Cool, Man  eyes me like I'm crazy and I shake my head and laugh, "it's funny!"  One nutty phrase after another and I'm choking holding back my laughter again. I'm dragging this book out a bit. Laughter is good.)

How to Live Safely in a Science Fictional Universe    Redemption in Indigo

But WAIT! That's not all!! I also bought a book for myself for only $4.99 on my Nook because that Goddess book looks super interesting and I want to read the first one first:

The Goddess Test (Goddess Test, #1)

Welcome Sunday Salon!!!

This is my first week after joining the group on Facebook that I'm paying attention to what I'm doing. Maybe.  Theoretically.  So, welcome!!  :-)

*  This past week, I took part in the internet stand against government control of the internet. I posted the video that explained what was going on in my sidebar b/c I'm skeptical of everything political, either side. I am sure, though, that less government and big companies controlling things, the better.

*  I also discovered the big Hullaballoo that leapt from Goodreads to Twitter that threatened a wedge between Readers and Authors with the question of "Who is Right?"  Is the ranting reader free to spill nasty comments? Do authors get to spill nastiness back?!  In light of standing up for Free Speech this week, I guess everyone gets to say whatever they want, but I'm not going to encourage or follow it all. I have a right to get on with reading and laughing (and tolerance, I guess.)

*  I reviewed Glitches by Marissa Meyer, which is free to read online and Divergent. I hosted my first ever Author Tour and reviewed The Priest and the Peaches, too.

*  I discussed why I like my e-reader on Monday, I discovered Glamour in Glass on Wednesday, I confessed to skimming books for (only) very good reasons on Thursday, and shared my diet progress with a recipe for Steak Fajitas on Saturday.

* One of my Giveaways ended, so I announced the winner and highlighted creative Followers, too.

What about you?
