Monday!! The best EVER!!

I'm very excited for this Monday... I've already called the school and they're ready for me to arrive with my World Book Night box of books for the verifiable reluctant readers.  What a great program!!

I got my third choice - I think. I don't remember what I asked for after Hunger Games, and I signed up so late that I am just happy to participate! Since I've never read Ender's Game, I'm slightly at a disadvantage to work up my non-reading crowd into a reading frenzy. So I called in a favor!!

My 15 yr old nephew, Elliott, recommended the book to me as one he really enjoyed, which is how it ended up on my request list in the first place. I requested a "review" to share with some fun ideas (fun for me, anyway, since I love reviewing!) and he responded ("or else" per aunt). I love his thoughts on it... and they're just what I needed to be all enthusiastic. I'll post his review tonight with my WBN update!!!!  WOOP!!!

It's Monday, What Are You Reading... the best discussion on a Monday morning imagineable, hosted by Sheila @ Book Journey

The Iron King (Iron Fey, #1)I just finished The Iron King - wow!!!!  I wrote my review immediately and it's so unique (the book AND the review!)  I can't wait to post it.

I have to HAVE TO read The Iron Daughter. Immediately!!!

But I also need to read my new library arrivals so more people can enjoy 'em. And I simply MUST read Shatter Me, Under the Never Sky & Eve before the authors come to Clackamas, Oregon!!!!  Woop!  And my next book for review is Interrupted - fun!.
Clackamas - pronounced "clack" as in "black" "uh" "muss", strongest emphasis on the first syllable. Most likely of regional native American origin, like lots of names in the Northwest. Population easily exciteable, likely licensed weapon-carriers, land-owners, odd livestock owners. Those within city boundaries don't quite know what to do with the responsibilities. (Un-proven opinions by short-term resident.)
What's funny is hearing the TomTom pronounce "Clackamas" - sounds like she swallows the word. We crack up every time!

Nina & Ladybug over at Escape in a Book have a GREAT quote hop every Monday. Pick a great quote and share in the fun!!  Today, in celebration of World Book Night, they're giving away a book up to $15!!  SWEETNESS!!!

I'm quoting from The Iron King, one of those incredible moments between Meghan & Ash:
"Ash still held my hand. Gently I tried pulling back, but he wasn't letting go. I glanced up, and found his face inches from mine. My heart stumbled a bit, then picked up, louder and faster than before. The prince's expression was blank; nothing showed on his face or in his eyes, but his body had gone very still.
I liked my lips and whisptered, 'Is this where you say you'll kill me?'
One corner of his lip curled. 'If you like,' he murmured, a flicker of amusement crossing his face. 'Though it's gotten far too interesting for that.'"
*shiver* I really, REALLY loved every moment these two were attracted to each other despite themselves. Just their attempts to ignore it is delightful!!
