Premise:
Lucian isn't sure what to expect when he steps over the banister separating Heaven from Earth. He opens his eyes in a new body, one with no wings, no knowledge of the future, and no special powers. All he remembers is his mission: to find a mysterious key. When he meets a human girl that he can't ignore he is forced, for the first time in eternity, to choose between duty and the pull of his heart. The future hangs on his decision, but he's fallen into a world where nothing is just what it seems.

Colorimetry welcomes Anna White!!  I have a "thing" for lightning and the on-rush of angel books caught my attention this year, so I am totally curious about this book. I requested some more information and Anna was kind enough to share... so I'm passing it on to my readers!!  And giving away a copy of her book on the rafflecopter below!

Interview:

* What's the inspiration behind the idea of your book?
I was inspired to write the book when I first learned about the nephilim. I was reading in the book of Genesis and came across the term and didn't know what it was. My husband didn't know either, so I googled it. Quite a few books have come out since I started working on the book that incorporate these characters, but I couldn't find any at the time. There are a few interpretations of who the nephilim were, but one possibility is that they were the children of men and angels. Traditionally they are portrayed as being evil, and that they were destroyed in the great flood. I grew up believing that angels were real and on the Earth, and the idea that there could be a mixed bloodline was very intriguing to me.
* Do you have a favorite moment or character?
I can't say that I have a favorite character. I think that would be like saying I have a favorite child. I do love a bad boy though. Writing from Jack's point of view was a lot of fun. As far as favorite moments, I love when Lucian and Samara realize that they are desperately attracted to one another. I completely remember the hot/cold/shaky/nauseaous feeling that crashes into you when you meet someone that you have an instant connection with. It is such an over the top, intense feeling.
* Can you share something personal about you?
I have a dog and two kids. I hate cleaning. I don't drink coffee because it makes me more nervous and twitchy than I already am. When I was seven I won the library summer reading contest-I still have the notebook where my dad wrote down all the books I read. I make the best chocolate cookies in the world, and sometimes I hide when I eat them so I don't have to share. I have a love/hate relationship with technology. I keep a binder full of funny things by my desk and pull it out when I’m have a rough day.
Ah... you had me at hiding to each chocolate chip cookies!!!!  :-D  I'd love to try them... AND see you're cool-soundin' binder of funny things!!  What a great idea!!

About the Author:

Anna WhiteAnna White

I grew up in the Deep South in a deeply religious family. We didn't have a t.v., get the newspaper, play video games, or watch movies. What we did do, all the time, was read and tell stories. Most of my early memories with my parents and grandparents involve reading together or being read to: grown up books with my parents, Sunday School stories with my grandmother, a book called It's a Bear about mauled hikers with my grandfather. Words swirled through our house like water.

I've discovered that's something you just can't get over. That kind of immersion leaves a mark. I continue to live in the South with my husband and children, and I continue to turn to words. My first novel, The Light and Fallen, was partly inspired by my childhood. Growing up angels felt very near to me. I believed they were real and active emissaries, and that a chance encounter could bring me into their contact. I am currently working on Divide the Darkness, the next book in the Chronicles of the Nephilim series.
