Question: What is your biggest pet peeve when it comes to books? Maybe you don't like love triangles or thin plots? Tell us about it!

I can tolerate some triangles & thinninity, actually... but what drives me batty is RANDOMNESS - someone does something for no reason, they don't think about it, they don't react to it, it has nothing to do with anything IT JUST SITS THERE. Bleh! I pull my hair out screaming WHY?! (silently, usually.) I can tolerate disagreeing with someone if I see why they did something, you know? I can tolerate wildly imaginative stuff if it appeared out of nowhere FOR A REASON.

 Raining gumballs MADE SENSE b/c there was a reason. I don't care if it's unbelievable or not... just give me a REASON TO BELIEVE!!

Ok... I feel passionately about that, as is apparent by the EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF CAPITAL LETTERS!!    What drives you batty?
