FF - How many at the same time?!

Feature & Follow Friday...

Q: Do you read one book at a time or do you switch back and forth between two or more?

*phththtt!!*  At least two!! More like 3 or 4!!

I read #1 I want to read so bad I'll carry it with me to the grocery store in case there's a line at the check-out.

I read #2 to review, which could be as great as ONE, but might not be!

I read #3 on my Nook in case I wake up in the middle of the night and want to read in the dark.

I RE-read #4 slowly, meanderingly, whenever I have a moment without Things 1-3

I think I'm crazy. But I can't be the only one... you read more than one book at the same time, don't ya?!

  2. OMG. How do you do it? I might read more than one book some days, but not REALLY. I just put one on hold, finish another one, then continue reading the one I put on hold.. XD

  5. I've never been able to make myself do that. I can only live in one book world at a time it seems. On the upside I do read fast, so it's not so bad ;-D!

I swallow books, too, if they're so great. I was reading in the line at the grocery store... at the pool "watching" the kids, at the stoplight. *sigh* I love Soulless!!!!

  7. I usually read two books at the same time. I take one book with me to the office to read during my lunch break and the other one I read when I'm at home. Of course if I am really caught up in the book I am reading at work I will take it out at home too! :)

  8. At least two, plus a short story and some kind of non-fiction book.
    At the moment I'm:
    - Reading a novel on my Kindle. A lot of it on the bus to work or waiting for the bus.
    - Working my way through an edition of Analog magazine on the kindle app on my phone (when not wordfeuding).
    - Reading another book in the bathroom while brushing my teeth
    - Reading a textbook about photography, while constantly putting it down to fiddle with my camera
    - Listening to podcasts of short stories online

    I must be mentar....

  13. You're definitely not the only one. But I think we're the minority.
I just started Divergent today, and then I had to go out, so I read it on the bus, than in the plaza while waiting for my food, then at the bus stop...Divergent is my #1 book now. And I'm also reading Defiance and a few M/M books on my reader.
And I love rereading (when I have the time)

Thanks for stopping by my FF. Have a great weekend, Laura!

  15. Love your answer Laura :)
Okay so I'm a nerd and I went to Toys R Us to get my Hunger Games T-Shirt & MockingJay pin for the premiere, probably the oldest person there dressed up like that lol, but my point of the story is I was waiting for my momma abd niece in the bathroom and the line was long and I pulled my book out too! I have no shame, and no problem pulling my iPad out in public to catch up on reading as wel!! Your answer made me laugh!!

Thank you for visiting, i would have visiting earlier but I was sick. Take care and have an awesome weekend!:)

  17. I usually read two books at the same time- but I like them to be different because it is the easiest way to keep them straight. When I have more time, which isn't often, I read only one book because I can read faster. :)
