Are you ready to link up your initial post for the read-a-thon, which should include your goals? These are the goals you may want to include:
- The amount of books/pages/chapters you want to read each day
- Which books you want to read during the challenge or choose from
- How many books/pages/chapters you want read by the end of the read-a-thon
I have posted my goals here and linked them as well. You can look at my post if you need an example of what your goals should look like in case you haven't done this before.
SIGNING UP & SCHEDULE
If you haven't signed up yet, please do. We want you reading with us and participating in all the challenges and giveaways!
If you want to include the button for the read-a-thon, you can link to this post or the sign-up post and use the button above or one of these smaller buttons (I had one participant who needed a smaller one since the regular one wouldn't fit on her sidebar):
Now that we've got that out of the way, let's move on to the fun stuff. =D Here is the schedule with all the challenge and author post information (if there is no one scheduled on a specific day then there isn't a challenge/author guest post for that day):
9/9 (Challenge): Michelle @ Snarky Mom – Scavenger Hunt and giveaway
9/11 (Challenge): Joana @ Joana In The Sky With Books – Book Covers Challenge & giveaway
9/12 (Author Post): Jordan McCollum – (I, Spy) Character Arcs post and giveaway. Cover reveal on Colorimetry.
9/13 (Challenge): Caroline @ Book Cracker Caroline – Survey Challenge and giveaway
9/17 (Challenge): Olivia @ Bookcomet – Treasure Hunt
9/19 (Challenge): Jen @ YA Romantics – Book Photo Challenge and giveaway
Laura and I will also be posting quite a bit. I will be posting a daily update as well as a link to that day's challenge (so that you don't have to search for it), and Laura will be posting additional fun author stuff along with some other posts. You're welcome to post a link to your updates in comments on my or Laura's posts, whichever you prefer. You can participate as much or as little as you'd like. Whatever you do, we hope you have a lot of fun and get tons of reading done!
Remember that we will be using using hashtag #TackleTBR on Twitter for the read-a-thon. Please use @TresSherm for me and @BurgandyIce for Laura on all your posts, if you can.
Do you want to win a book to replenish your TBR pile after reading so many books during the read-a-thon? ;) There will be quite a few giveaways during these two weeks, but this is our grand finale giveaway that you can enter now and then continue to add entries as the read-a-thon progresses. This is what you can win:
-1 winner (US only as long as Amazon ships to you for free) can choose a bargain book from Amazon out of the books listed here (as long as it is still available and under $7).
-1 winner (US & INT) can choose one book (or multiple books - you can choose ebooks) up to $15 from Amazon (if US) and from the Book Depository (if international).
-1 winner (US & INT) will win an ebook (Nook, Kindle, or PDF) of Bound by Prophecy by Melissa Wright.
Giveaways end 9/22/13.
Please note that you must be signed up and participating in the read-a-thon to enter. You must also be at least 13 years old. This giveaway is open to US and international residents as noted. Please ensure that you correctly enter your email (and check your junk mail folder if I'm not on your contact list) so that I have a way to contact you. You can read my giveaway policy on my policies page. Please enter using the rafflecopter forms below.
