When the Mid-Winter's Eve Giveaway started way back on Dec. 21st, I was deep into BAKING. There was flour all over the kitchen and the smell of melting chocolate permeating... everything. We whipped up Gingerbread houses and fudge, bars, crinkles, krispies... until I felt quite ill well before the 27th.In fact, I don't think I want to see another cookie 'til next year. That might be too early!! Lol.

If there had been a Cookie Winner - Chocolate Chip would have won, no contest. I never think of chocolate chip cookies around Christmas. And even though I'm chocolate's BFF, I like to be creative.
You know what would have been totally awesome? If we had to share recipe's to enter a giveaway and then got a book of everyone's Cool Cookie. Too much?

Lolawid said... homemade pecan turtles. Pretzels, w/ rollo or caramell kiss in 250 oven for 8 minutes, take them out and push a pecan half down onto each one. YUM!!

Pinchbuggies, how did your Rocky Road Fudge turn out? That's my favorite, I think... besides whatever else I already claimed. My grandparents lived on "Rocky Road" when I was a kid (some indeterminate time ago) and I thought those cookies were named after my grandma's version. Doesn't everyone know my grandma?! :-)
