  48. I have one real resolution and that's because it's something that is slowly eating my soul and making my eye twitch.

Started a project back in Sept that should have taken me a week or so. I'm still working on it! My stairs have always been so boring so I decided to take them on. Painted the treads aqua, putting up a sea blue wainscoting on the stairs and landing, new trim, decoupaging the hand rails and the stair uprights with various black/white patterned napkins (that parts turned out great!).

Was thinking 3 weeks tops. Sweet Mary it's still going on 16 weeks in! And most days I work on it I end up looking like a smurf because of the staining I have to do.

So my new years resolution is to finally finish this project that is slowly oh so slowly eating my very soul. Other than that I'm deciding to just be happy after a quote I read that sometimes in the pursuit of happiness we just need to take a moment and be happy.
