Author Interview - FREE E-BOOK - Thoughtless by Jacqueline Gardner

Premise: Ganked from Smashwords:
When Bridget finds a dead cheerleader in the janitor’s closet, she becomes the killer’s next target. High school just got worse. It’s bad enough that she can hear the shocking truths that pass through her classmate’s heads. Now she has to worry about staying alive, and all clues point to the one person whose thoughts she can’t read - her boyfriend Terrence. Someone is taunting her, threatening to expose her secret. And when Bridget tries to single out her blackmailer, she’s nearly beaten to death by a mind controlled minion with fiery eyes.
But when Bridget finally comes face-to-face with the killer, suddenly a horde of brainwashed students programmed to destroy her life doesn’t seem so bad.
So I'm a victim of Cover-Love, what can I say?!  Before I even read this premise, I wanted this book. The girl looks startled and I want to know why!!  Plus, her hair's so white and her eyes are so blue and that house in the background looks spooky!!!

Then I read the premise full of killers and that's it, I'm hooked.  I know I've resisted gathering books to myself for weeks, but Jacqueline's sharing hers for FREE. I tell ya, irresistible.  If she wasn't so NICE about it, I'd complain to her personally, but as you'll see in the following interview, that is impossible.

With no further ado, I give you the very sweet Jacqueline Gardner!!

1. What inspired you to write Thoughtless?

A simple question that popped into my head one day.  What if I could've read people's thoughts in high school?  I started thinking about what I might have done differently . . . a lot!  From there, I thought up a plot and got started.

2. What is your favorite scene or part of your book?

There a few scenes in Thoughtless where we see Bridget start to wake up!  It takes her while but she eventually starts to realize that having loyal friends means more than "fitting in".  When she starts to realize this, she finally takes charge and uses her gift to her advantage.

3. Please share something personal about you!!

I studied Exercise Physiology in college, and I'm obsessed with cupcakes!
Sweet, yes?

But then you hop over to her website, and suddenly all of her nice comments take on a very sticky, frosting-y sort of flavor and you start licking your fingers wishing she was coming over for tea. Right. Now.

I stole this picture from her website so you can drool. (Napkins, please!!)

Her little "I'm obsessed with cupcakes" is for real!!!!  And who doesn't like cupcakes?!?! What I want to know, is what those nests taste like and if a bit with the candy, nest AND cake is better or if I'd like 'em better separately. I think I'd need more than one to be sure.  Of each variety.

    1. I think "rage" is right!!

I have to drive by a cupcake store every time I go to the library. Some creative person is in there making a "flavor of the day" - very difficult to drive by without stopping. Her store's always busy, too.

You have a lemon cake with you right this minute?!?! You are SO invited over for tea!!!
