Tackle Your TBR Read-a-thon Sign-Up for 9/8 - 9/21

Does your TBR pile just keep growing? Well, so do ours! Tressa @ Tressa's Wishful Endings and I decided it was a great time to organize a read-a-thon, especially with the kids back in school.

Read-a-thon Information

The Tackle Your TBR Read-a-thon begins September 8th and ends September 21st. You do not have to be a blogger to sign up. Just use your Goodreads, Twitter, Facebook, or Tumblr profile instead (the place you're going to post updates on).

Please sign up by using the linky at the end of this post. You MUST be signed up in the linky to enter the giveaways and participate in the challenges. The linky will close half-way through the read-a-thon, on September 16th, so sign up before then.

You're welcome to participate as much or as little as you'd like. The read-a-thon is to encourage us all to read so that we can tackle those TBR piles, not to cause extra stress. ;) You will see requests for updates about every other day at the end of specific posts, but again, there are no requirements that you do it. If you do want to post a daily update, here is a simple template (omit or add things as you like):

(Day of the week)
Books currently reading:
Today's finished books:
Total finished books:
Titles of finished books:

Tressa will be posting daily updates on her blog and you can come and leave a link or comment to update on her post as you would like. We will be using hashtag #TackleTBR on Twitter for updates and tweets. This is also a great way to find others participating and give some encouragement. There will be a grand prize giveaway with multiple winners sponsored by the hosts that will end on September 22nd.

I'll be posting, too. Most likely randomly. Of course!

If you’re participating in the read-a-thon and would love to host a challenge, this is what you need to know:

There will be five dates available. The dates are: September 9th, 11th, 13th, 17th, and 19th. There will be some author hosted posts in-between the challenges.
There aren’t a lot of requirements to host a challenge, but here they are:
  1. You must have a blog to post on so that everyone has access to your post and can participate.
  2. Posts need to be up by 6 am wherever you live on the day of your post.
  3. Your challenge can be as easy (asking a question and the participant leaving a comment or linking a post on their blog, Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, etc.) or as difficult as you like. Just be sure it’s something participants can do if they don’t have a blog.
  4. Also, we would love it if you also posted a giveaway with your challenge, but it isn’t required. If you do have a challenge that takes some time or serious effort, you really could have a giveaway as an incentive for doing it.
To sign up to host a challenge, please email the following information to Tressa at wishfulendings(at)outlook(dot)com or fill out the form below:
