Memorable Monday - True Name

Memorable Monday is hosted by Escape in a Book...

Join in this Kick-Off Meme this week for a chance to win a free book!!  :-)

I feel like a delicious quote for this Kick-off, so I'm going to pick one from The Girl Who Circumvented Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making. I love this...
“Even if you’ve taken off every stitch of clothing, you still have your secrets, your history, your true name. It’s hard to be really naked".
I like this because the essence of what is inside of us, the real person, cannot be removed easily. Not by taking a bath, certainly (as in the book). Not because of a few troubles - or even a lot of troubles.  Even if I don't have my favorite things with me, I have my secrets. My history. My true name.

I guess that reminds me of one of my favorite quotes out of Revelation -
"I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it."
Do you ever wonder what your True Name is?

I do... something about writing, maybe. Or maybe about my relationships 'cause my Cool, Man and Kiddledids are the best part of my life. In any case... it's a secret. :-)
